Starvard Challenges

Get paid to learn.

As far as we know, Starvard is the only university that pays you to learn. Some of our courses carry cash challenges: do the work, show the work, and the money is yours. We currently have hundreds of dollars set aside to reward students who finish.

How it works

1

Pick a challenge. Start with the course, which is free like everything at Starvard.

2

Do the work, on video. Short phone videos of you actually studying and practicing. Real beats perfect.

3

Upload your proof, get paid. Send us your videos, we check them like a teacher would, and finishers get paid.

The 99 Days of Piano Challenge

Prize: $100 for finishing

Our founder, Dave Dlaney, once sat down and did 99 days of piano himself. Now it is your turn. Take the free Learn Piano course, practice every day for 99 days, and upload a short video of each day's practice: you, at the keys, doing the work.

Reading challenges with the Masters Library, writing challenges, and coding challenges are being built now, each with its own cash prize. Students in the Discord hear about new challenges first.

The challenge fund. We have set aside hundreds of dollars to pay students who finish challenges. It is real money for real work, and when the fund runs dry the challenges pause until it refills. Want something smaller today? Get $5 for finishing a course is running right now.
